The St. Anthony’s Friars opened their season on Wednesday with a remarkable win against the Kellenerg Firebirds. The Friars, currently ranked #4 on the DigitalSports National Lacrosse Rankings, took an early lead putting the Firebirds on the defensive right away.
At halftime, the Friars held a solid 7-2 lead. The Firebirds were never able to shake the ice off to recover from the initial St. Anthony’s onslaught and ultimately fell 12-5.St. Anthony’s had seven different players score in their win over Kellenberg.
